Ryania speciosa var. tomentella merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Salicaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Selatan bagian utara hingga Peru. Nama ilmiah Ryania speciosa var. tomentella pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hermann Otto Sleumer pada tahun 1980.
