Rytidosperma caespitosum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Australia selatan dan tenggara. Nama ilmiah Rytidosperma caespitosum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Charles Gaudichaud-Beaupré pada tahun 1979.
