Rytidosperma nitens merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Tasmania. Nama ilmiah Rytidosperma nitens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Dennis Ivor Morris pada tahun 1996.
