Rytidosperma occidentale merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Australia Barat bagian barat-barat-daya. Nama ilmiah Rytidosperma occidentale pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joyce Winifred Vickery pada tahun 1979.
