Rytidosperma tenuius merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Australia timur dan tenggara, Pulau North Selandia Baru. Nama ilmiah Rytidosperma tenuius pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ernst Gottlieb von Steudel pada tahun 1979.
