Sambucus cerulea merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Viburnaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada barat hingga Meksiko barat laut. Nama ilmiah Sambucus cerulea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Constantine Samuel Rafinesque pada tahun 1838.
