Samolus porosus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Primulaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh pada genangan air (helofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Provinsi Cape selatan hingga KwaZulu-Natal. Nama ilmiah Samolus porosus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Linnaeus the Younger pada tahun 1818.
