Sanchezia scandens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia tenggara hingga Peru dan Brazil barat laut. Nama ilmiah Sanchezia scandens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Gustav Lindau pada tahun 1964.
