Sanicula arctopoides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Apiaceae (suku adas-adasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada barat hingga California barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan footsteps of spring. Nama ilmiah Sanicula arctopoides diperkenalkan oleh William Jackson Hooker pada tahun 1832.
