Sanicula hoffmannii merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Apiaceae (suku adas-adasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah California barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan hoffmann's blacksnakeroot. Nama ilmiah Sanicula hoffmannii diperkenalkan oleh Philip Alexander Munz pada tahun 1951.
