Saussurea foliosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kazakhstan hingga Siberia dan Mongolia. Nama ilmiah Saussurea foliosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Friedrich von Ledebour pada tahun 1829.
