Saussurea griffithii merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Afghanistan (Bamyan). Nama ilmiah Saussurea griffithii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Pierre Edmond Boissier pada tahun 1856.
