Saussurea iodostegia merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China utara utara dan timur. Nama ilmiah Saussurea iodostegia diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Henry Fletcher Hance pada tahun 1878.
