Saussurea piptathera adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Himalaya. Nama ilmiah Saussurea piptathera diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Michael Pakenham Edgeworth pada tahun 1846.
