Saussurea piptathera adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Himalaya. Nama ilmiah Saussurea piptathera pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Michael Pakenham Edgeworth pada tahun 1846.
