Saussurea stracheyana merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Himalaya barat dan tengah. Nama ilmiah Saussurea stracheyana diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Ernst Otto Kuntze pada tahun 1967.
