Scandix pecten-veneris merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Apiaceae (suku adas-adasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eropa, Macaronesia hingga India barat laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan shepherdsneedle. Nama ilmiah Scandix pecten-veneris diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
