Scapisenecio leptocarpus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Tasmania barat dan tengah. Nama ilmiah Scapisenecio leptocarpus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 2020.
