Pohon oktopus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Araliaceae (suku mangkok-mangkokan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh menjalar. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah. Nama ilmiah Schefflera actinophylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Stephan Friedrich Ladislaus Endlicher pada tahun 1894.
