Schefflera aromatica merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Araliaceae (suku mangkok-mangkokan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah. Nama ilmiah Schefflera aromatica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Ludwig Blume pada tahun 1894.
