Schiedea amplexicaulis merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii (Kauai). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan niihau schiedea. Nama ilmiah Schiedea amplexicaulis diperkenalkan oleh Horace Mann Jr. pada tahun 1866.
