Schismus schismoides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Namibia hingga Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Schismus schismoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Otto Stapf pada tahun 2010.
