Schistocarpha platyphylla merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Oaxaca) hingga El Salvador. Nama ilmiah Schistocarpha platyphylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jesse More Greenman pada tahun 1907.
