Schistophragma mexicanum merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Meksiko tengah dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Schistophragma mexicanum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Bentham pada tahun 1842.
