Schizachne purpurascens subsp. callosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eropa timur hingga Jepang utara dan tengah. Nama ilmiah Schizachne purpurascens subsp. callosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicolai Stepanovitch Turczaninow pada tahun 1964.
