Schizachyrium littorale merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian timur dan timur-tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan shore little bluestem. Nama ilmiah Schizachyrium littorale pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Valentine Nash pada tahun 1908.
