Schizachyrium sanguineum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis dan subtropis. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan crimson bluestem. Nama ilmiah Schizachyrium sanguineum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Anders Johan Retzius pada tahun 1931.
