Schizaea montis-petrae merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Schizaeaceae yang dapat tumbuh di media yang tergenang air (helofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil (São Paulo). Nama ilmiah Schizaea montis-petrae diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alexander Curt Brade pada tahun 1972.
