Schizopetalon maritimum merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Brassicaceae (suku sawi-sawian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Chili (Atacama, Coquimbo). Nama ilmiah Schizopetalon maritimum pertama kali dipublikasikan pada tahun 1845.
