Schoenus loreus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Provinsi Cape bagian selatan dan tenggara. Nama ilmiah Schoenus loreus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1891.
