Schoenus tendo merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Pulau North Selandia Baru. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan bogrush. Nama ilmiah Schoenus tendo pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joseph Dalton Hooker pada tahun 1864.
