Sciodaphyllum elachistocephalum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Araliaceae (suku mangkok-mangkokan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia hingga Ekuador. Nama ilmiah Sciodaphyllum elachistocephalum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hermann Harms pada tahun 2019.
