Scleria catophylla adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika dan Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Scleria catophylla diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Charles Baron Clarke pada tahun 1894.
