Scleria hispidula adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eritrea hingga Zambia. Nama ilmiah Scleria hispidula diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Christian Ferdinand Friedrich Hochstetter pada tahun 1850.
