Scleria lacustris merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan lakeshore nutrush. Nama ilmiah Scleria lacustris diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Charles Wright pada tahun 1871.
