Scleria novae-hollandiae merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan nutrush. Nama ilmiah Scleria novae-hollandiae diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johann Otto Boeckeler pada tahun 1875.
