Scleria parvula merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering. Nama ilmiah Scleria parvula diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ernst Gottlieb von Steudel pada tahun 1855.
