Sclerocarpus phyllocephalus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Chiapas) hingga Nikaragua. Nama ilmiah Sclerocarpus phyllocephalus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Sidney Fay Blake pada tahun 1922.
