Scolosanthus wrightianus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kuba. Nama ilmiah Scolosanthus wrightianus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis August Heinrich Rudolf Grisebach pada tahun 1869.
