Scorpiothyrsus erythrotrichus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Hainan. Nama ilmiah Scorpiothyrsus erythrotrichus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Elmer Drew Merrill pada tahun 1944.
