Scytopetalum tieghemii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lecythidaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat. Nama ilmiah Scytopetalum tieghemii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Auguste Jean Baptiste Chevalier pada tahun 1927.
