Selaginella acanthonota merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Selaginellaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian tenggara. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan spiny spikemoss. Nama ilmiah Selaginella acanthonota pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Lucien Marcus Underwood pada tahun 1902.
