Selaginella apoda merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Selaginellaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Serikat bagian utara-tengah dan timur hingga Guatemala. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan meadow spikemoss. Nama ilmiah Selaginella apoda pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Charles François Antoine Morren pada tahun 1854.
