Senecio trichocaulon merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Brazil selatan hingga Argentina (Misiones). Nama ilmiah Senecio trichocaulon pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1884.
