Sericostachys scandens merupakan tumbuhan berkayu dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Spesies ini memiliki pola hidup memanjat pada pohon lain untuk mendapatkan sinar matahari dengan akar tetap barada di tanah (liana). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah kawasan tropis Afrika. Nama ilmiah Sericostachys scandens diperkenalkan oleh Ernest Friedrich Gilg pada tahun 1899.
