Sesamum capense adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Pedaliaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Sesamum capense pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicolaas Laurens Burman pada tahun 1768.
