Setaria aversa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Australia timur dan tenggara. Nama ilmiah Setaria aversa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Joyce Winifred Vickery pada tahun 1995.
