Setaria longiseta adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika. Nama ilmiah Setaria longiseta diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ambroise Marie François Joseph Palisot de Beauvois pada tahun 1819.
