Setaria reverchonii merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Oklahoma, Meksiko timur laut, hingga Florida. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan reverchon's bristlegrass. Nama ilmiah Setaria reverchonii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Vasey pada tahun 1940.
