Sideroxylon tenax adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Sapotaceae (suku sawo-sawoan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari North Carolina hingga Florida. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan tough bully. Nama ilmiah Sideroxylon tenax diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1767.
