Silene aperta merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah California. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan naked catchfly. Nama ilmiah Silene aperta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Edward Lee Greene pada tahun 1904.
